Part 1. Corporate Identity
Logo

While the GCSF is well known in some circles of the creative world in New York, using the word mark “Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation” is essential to maintain the recognizability of the logo. In addition, the wordmark and geometrically constructed logo icon that reads “GCSF“ can be used separately depending on circumstances.
Stationery

Letterhead design includes three treatments for the back of the pages, satisfying the idea of three different target audiences that the foundation caters to. Color coding is also helpful in keeping archives - blue for current and potential donors and investors; red for teachers and professors; yellow for students. Envelope and business card design follows the same idea of three different target audiences. Sticker-seal is an additional element of authenticity of the scholarship foundation.
Brand Book

The brand book is an essential piece for any organization. The Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation, who services creative people and future designers, is flexible enough to have a unique perspective on standardized brand books. GCSF’s brand book is a collection of double-sided cards that can be arranged in any order of importance, easily substituted in case of information updates, and can decorate the book shelf in the foundation’s office.

Part 2. Event branding

Every year GCSF has an Awards Ceremony where students receive their scholarships and other prizes. The event is also an opportunity for educators and investors to celebrate the new generation’s achievements and network/socialize.
Every year the award ceremony is designed according to current events (for example, the ceremony of 2017 will be the anniversary ceremony, celebrating it’s15th year), themes, or other ideas the board committee has.
Logo

As noted earlier, while the GCSF is well known in some circles of the creative world in New York, using the word mark “Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation” helps maintain the recognizability of the logo. The identity of the 2016 Awards Ceremony is based on that, and the wordmark “Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation” has a prominent position on the right side of the logo. Another part of the logo, geometrically constructed lettering reading “Awards 2016“, emphasizes the nature of the event (scholarship awards) and reflects its primary target audience (students). It’s fun, playful, and personal.
