Used a photo reference or two for the face but improvised the hair, my aim was to illustrate based on the book description of Arthur.
I attempted a quirky cross-hatch approach because it infers an archaic time period and provides a more unique appearance.

The aim here was to experiment with Photoshop and mimic the background of the source Artwork.
