Lost Planet

Digital Art
I had an honor of being a small part of the QuadSpinner team as a beta tester of their flagship product GeoGlyph 2.0.

It was the first time I have ever been a beta tester of any software. While a number of smart guys were handling programming, I had WM opened almost 6-8 hours per day testing devices and creating graphs, in order to examine the interaction of WM and GG to find what was supposed to be filed and reported to the rest of the team.

It was such a great experience!
And a big responsibility!

Thanks to my friends Dax Pandhi and Cynthia Najim for that opportunity.

Here are several concepts of full 3D environment that represents an alien-looking planet, located in light years from the Solar System, most certainly further than LV-426. I was trying to make surfaces to look unusual and interesting in terms of shapes, erosion, colors and geological features.

3D terrains were built in World Machine using GG 2.0 devices. All the scenes were assembled, lit and rendered in Vue. Smoke and fog effects were made in 3ds Max using Fume FX simulations.
