weaving and embroidery
Weaving is made in an old folk technique used for making rugs/carpets called Klečano. This kind of weaving directly refers to pixels and creates a link between modern age of computer art and old crafts that required a certain amount of time to be made. The motive of hand cursor on waving is displaced from it’s original position and shifted from the public to a more intimate space. My work deals with the communication between people made easier by social networks, desire for closeness and boundaries seemingly erased due to availability of private information.
