Robo Tortoise

This illustration was part of Light Grey Art Lab's 'Robo' show. Seventy different artist's participated in the show and each one designed a piece inspired by robotics. They created epic scenes of big robos in action, schematics, exploded components and technology both real and imagined.

My piece was inspired by abandon cars I often come across while on different hiking adventures. Usually the location I find them in is so remote, it seems impossible that somebody could have gotten them there. So, this is a  Robo Tortoise, a hybrid tortoise-machine, fashioned after a Volkswagon bug. He has since broken down and is slowly being reclaimed by nature.
