Winter Lettering Projects

These are a small collection of some of the lettering pieces I did in December. They are a part of a daily hand lettering project I gave myself in 2015, to create 365 personal pieces. The whole project is posted on Instagram at @annajacqie.
The name of a wonderful event that I went to at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto as the first annual York/Sheridan Design Formal.
After learning about the amazing history of Swedish holiday traditions, I knew I wanted to tell more people about it.
Toronto was lucky to get a very warm winter so far this year, but whenever the temperature dropped below zero, it came as a bit of a shock to all of us.
In my family, we celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas! So it creates a very full month of holiday celebrations.
This is a Yiddish word meaning "destiny", which is often used to describe a soulmate. But it can also be used to express the fate of an auspicious event or friendship. Today I was thankful for the luck, or maybe fate, that has been coming my way and letting me plan for some amazing things next summer.
A vectorized piece that I was asked to create  to to say Happy Holidays on behalf of my graduating class.
As we got our first real snow of the year, I created this as a way of both complaining and celebrating it.
After meeting up with some old friends, I did this to say how good it feels to reminisce sometimes.
Not only was it the holiday month, but I was also able to give blood today, which always leaves me happy and a little light-headed.
This vectorized piece was inspired by the happy feeling you get when spending a quiet day with family.
Some wise words told to me by a friend's family as the year came to a close.
Preparing to celebrate New Years with some lovely people and bring in 2016.
My final piece for the 365 lettering project, which is something I never would have been able to achieve when I started the year.
