The Year of Thanksgiving

The Year of Thanksgiving started from the thanksgiving celebrations of Dec 2015 when the Hagley Park Seventh-Day Adventist church ushered in the new year (2016) while reflecting on the blessings they had in the past year (2015). The design revolves around a theme that focuses on the individual and their struggles, victories and growth. The silhouette represents any person (race, colour, nationality, etc.) who demonstrates their continuous gratitude and thanks to The Lord for all that they have, for the struggles, disappointments, victories and achievements, while the abstract yet positive imagery within the silouhette represents God's continuous guidance and protection amidst the things that are happening.

Hence the theme for this year for the church is essentially just giving thanks regardless of the trials one may go through. Therefore the Creative for the designs employ a rather abstract silhouette design through purposeful meaning and the use of human shapes to help it resonate with others and provide a personal touch. The colours are mixed in a sort of additive blend and made soft so that its not intrusive, but yet stimulates thought and emotions.
