Pause Fest, a leading digital festival in Australia, approached me as one of ten creatives selected from around the world to create a film for their 2016 festival, on the theme : Discover your futur self.

My interpretation of this theme start with the statement: Discovering your future self, is like meeting your future you.
So, let's wonder, what if your future you could come back from the future, to advise you about his experience?
This short video represents this meeting with the future you. Showing you what your future could be.
My aim is to show the future is not written, even if your future you tell’s you what will happen. It’s just one path. The future is made of what you choose to do.

About the art direction, I choose to mix 2D and 3D and create a dark atmosphere.
First it was a personal challenge to find the right balance to mix 2D and 3D. It was also important for my purpose, showing the meeting between this two world. I wanted a design really simple and abstract, to represent easily each step of the life, the future is showing to his present. I choose a dark atmosphere to insist on the moment his life turned really bad.

I find the perfect song to match my story. And I like to feel like the sound match the motion. But actually there is no sound edition, it's more the motion matching to this crazy track. Big thank you to WHIPPED CREAM !
