Mental Ray Lighting

 A few test renders trying out different lighting setups with Maya and Mental Ray
 Complex glass refractions and reflections using Global Illumination.

 Knitted wool texture combined with Maya fur and standard Bump mapping.
 Complex refractive caustics, this render has over blown caustics caused by high Photon numbers, this was intentional to demonstrate the caustic effects created by the Mia_Material. 
Using the same models and Autodesk Matchmover I compoisited them into some live action footage of my bedroom. There are a few glitches, some frames got rendered incorrectly, there's an error with the Gamma correction on the Shadow pass and the high detail of the knitted cube caused some speckled noise.
