The Girl I Used to Be

A hand bound per-zine that archives childhood treasures that survived the transition to adulthood, captured in a jewellery box. Physical memories of the objects are captured through measurement, date, location, photographic evidence, and prose. The french-folded pages are collected within a photocopied folder and held with a metal binder.
Ambiguity and narrative are organised in order that the objects are recovered.
Numbering is used to an a recording method, each code in the text references an object over the page. Starting from 0100 representing childhood, to 0200 representing current day.
The objects are 1:1 scale, and composed on the photocopier glass page by page. Numbers were produced on a typewriter and added by hand to the composition. As such the writing at times is unclear due to its age, and tendency to cut through the page with counterforms.
Each object is given a number, coded location, name, and measurement. The memory or reason for keeping the object is added giving context and story.
Lines within the type heavy pages serve as a signifier of when groups of things are within an object, alongside adding another number to the archival code.
