In 2015 I was commissioned by The Laboratory for Molecular lnfection Medicine Sweden (MIMS), at Umeå University to create these illustrations explaining how CRISPR-Cas9 works. The first two illustrations were printed in the university's magazine Tänk/Think. issue 1, 2015, in an article about Emmanuelle Charpentier who made this revolutionary discovery while at Umeå University. The third illustration is being used in presentations and lectures about CRISPR-Cas9.
