Commissioned by Bandai to produce a piece celebrating 35 years of the beloved retro and iconic arcade game.
Using neon blues derived from the iconic maze design, I wanted to depict a scene as if you're right down in an alley of the maze, and amongst the thick of the action of the ghosts relentlessly pursuing Pac-Man. I was inspired by scenes of car chases, but featuring the characters and working them into the scene so that they look faithful to the game. Pac-Man seems to be taking it all in his stride as he makes a beeline for the pellet. As to how he's going to tackle the final pellet Inky's guarding, who knows.
