'A Mixed Media Insight'

People perception of 'youth's' i feel have always been the same. As a youth myself i feel that the older generations view us as being unsociable and disrespectful, mention 'teenagers' to them and all they can picture is youth's 'hanging' round shop corners in 'hoodies', causing trouble.
I feel this perception has come from the media casting 'Teens' in a constant bad light, in my opinion the bad perception occurred from the 1960's-1970's when popular interest of anarchism occurred which was brought on by the punk movement.
Therefore, this project is based on how the media makes you view us 'teenagers'.

I wanted to show that bad perceptions of youth's have been around for a long time and therefore i scratched the image to make it seem old and worn like the perceptions of youths.
For the next couple of photos i have sowed in to my images to represent the frustration youths feel about the way the media percieves them, how young bands feel they are not apreciated and just refered as noise
