This was part of a collection of three pieces I created for an art show in 2013. The art show was called Empire of the Unlimited, The goal was to infuse Star Wars theme pieces with modern-day Street Art.

I wanted to do a version of the iconic villains of the original series in a feudal Japan-style woodblock print. I called it Empire of the Rising Sun. I created a version of each of the characters in a samurai style with the Death Star as the Japanese flag. Each of these illustrations was done 100% vector in Adobe Illustrator and then printed on wall scrolls to complete the look of the era
