Frost Flowers is an interactive paper installation, created for Museum of Less Ordinary, part of Finlandia’s campaign “1000 Years of Less Ordinary Wisdom”. Museum of Less Ordinary is a pop-up museum created by Next DC and studio Komplekt. The museum doesn't contain any names or information about the exhibition and visitors have to experience the different artworks only with their senses.
I was invited to create an interactive paper wall, that concealed the music of Bulgarian sound artists Evitceles, Mytrip and Dayin. The installation was inspired by one of Finland's natural phenomenons - "frost flowers" (ice crystals commonly found growing on young sea ice and thin lake ice in cold, calm conditions).
