The rebranding, of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Chicago, IL, was a semester long project involving in-depth research (included in Phase 01 of the Identity System document–for presentation purposes, only Phase 02 + 03 of the project exist here) of the museum's history, location, architecture, existing/past graphic identities, identities of similar organizations, and verbal/visual inspiration from the museum itself. The decided wordmark and typographic treatment streamlined throughout the system is based off of the nature of the building's architecture, as well as the concept that this museum lives as a container for Contemporary Art.
Thank You!
