/ Dren / Cornus mas (Cornelian cherry, European cornel or dogwood)
Cornus fruit is used to retain the jing, essence, to tonify the kidneys, and in cases of spermatorrhea.
This duo was made for an exhibition held by Kulturforum ODKR in Belgrade, with primary colours as the theme.
I wanted to play with red and blue as the colours that, according to psychology, attract the oposite sex;
blue being "eye-catching" for girls and red having the same effect for boys, making them irresistible to eachother.
Once I realized what kind of facial expressions I gave them, so vacant and passive, they ended up having these "natural" names;
Valerijana and Dren being herbs used in alternative medicine that are believed to have uses that I saw reflected in their faces.

And so, in the end, they became eachothers medicine. Romantic, huh?
