Principles of User Experience- Fall 2015

Redesign and propose a prototype of website.

Companies website are crucial for providing the first impression to visitors. Nowadays, it is important to tackle users’ expectations and needs on a website. If a user has a bad experience on a website, he will consider checking other competitor's website.
I decided to redesign A2 Studios website to improve user experience for potential clients.  Below is a prototype of the website view on a tablet.
There are three goals I wanted the users to accomplish with this prototype.

1. Familiarizing with the firm’s architectural style

Graphics and animations are great ways to show firm's design style and also attract visitor’s attention. I included a rotating slideshow on the homepage to showcase the firm’s projects and to trigger visitors' interest to learn more about them. Each image on the slideshow contains more detailed information once the visitor clicks on it.
2. Learning more about the architect

Aside from the Home page, the About page is the second most visited page by new users. Visitors want to learn more about the architects' design philosophies, credentials and so on.
3. Contacting the firm

One main reason visitors check a company's website is to look for contact information. On the contact page, visitors can email the architect, locate the office on the map or fill out a form.
