The Plan of St. Gall: In Brief by Lorna Price

It is based on original 3 volumes of the Plan of St. Gall, and it contains descriptions of some main and unique parts of the original plan, as well as the essential historical and political background of the time, ensuing events, and a chapter on a scaled 3D model of the Plan.
The structure of the book is very typical—constructed by chapters, annotations, captions, index, glossary...etc.
Our task is to transform the information given in the book into an APP on IPad.
Fortunately, we have these books in our schools' library, and decided to focus on analyzing the contents of these books, which contains the details of information and more great architectural drawings of which we'd like to present to the users.
The structure is composed of hierarchical layers of information, where users can navigate around on the upper level, then gets brief descriptions, then deep analysis of the specific part of the Plan.
In addition, below is a mock-up of the abbot's day funtion. It is designed for users who are not familiar with the Plan at all; it guides the users by showing a narrative daily life of an abbot living inside the Plan. Intrigue users to get a brief understanding of the Plan before explore more.
