Bundles of Joy - D&AD

For this brief I got to choose from the 2015 D&AD New Blood awards Assignments. With each of the 12 assignments you got interview information with the client, files of logos, past campaigns etc.
I chose to create a packaging solution for John Lewis and their online purchases.
I needed to design a packaging solution that would work for 250,000 different sized and shaped products.
It needed to be strong, protective and universal in size to suit a range of products.

My initial concepts included boxes, bags, pyramids etc which all had an element of mystery.
I developed my ideas into ‘Bundles’ which are a pillow box, lined with bubble wrap and they come in many different sizes.
I created a new pastel colours palette to work across the 3 main areas of John Lewis.
•Home – Pink
•Electrical – Green
•Beauty – Pink
The colours define the area of John Lewis where your product came from.
I also produced a contact card for each department and seals for the ends of the Bundles.
