Inside Insect by Jorge Fuembuena is a personal research project on the symbolic universe of filmmaker Luis Buñuel. “The project follows Buñuel’s footprints through various territories, generating new value for found objects and archival documents such as letters, postcards, worn photographs, maps and texts."
Rather than publishing the classic catalogue that this art centre typically distributes at each exhibition, we decided to spend the resources on creating a piece that would be more in line with the concept of the photographic project. We printed 10,000 copies of a leaflet with the information about the exhibition and screen printed the four sides of the entire stack of paper with the author's treated photographs. We thus created a photographic totem that served the double purpose of exhibition leaflet and object on display.
