The Forest is an upcoming movie starring Natalie Dormer, where her sister goes missing and is last seen in Aokigahara Forest; a place relating to demons in Japanese mythology and a commonly known suicide site. In light of the movie, Focus Features approached UNIT9 to pitch an interactive experience. We successfully pitched a 360° experience, optimizing for Virtual Reality, where users could experience Aokigahara Forest whilst maintaining the fear that is felt within the movie itself.
