We have all been there.
We've all lost someone close to us at some point of our lives.
And everyone copes differently.
These were some of the reactions I got from people when asked about how they reacted to a recent loss. On a personal note, I believe that communication and expression really helped me cope and therefore used that as my starting point.
I created 3 stories around the objects above that dealt with expressing onself, breaking out of the cocoon and rising up. The motive was to conceptualize a  product that allows mourners to say things that were left unsaid.
A monolith cement base emphasizes the "weight of the loss holding you down" and the airy glass cone represents a communication tool.
Each time the cone is lifted, the person is metaphorically lifting their morale.
The glass cone rests in a cavity filled with a soapy solution and is used as a bubble blower.
Solidified soap pieces represent four moods - meloncholy, mirth, nostalgia and optimism.  A brass stirrer is released from its slot through a rocking motion by pressing down on the narrow end.
The user is free to choose a soap piece that reflects their current mood ( meloncholy, mirth, nostalgia and optimism). The selected soap effervesces in contact with water* and is dissolved with the brass stirrer.

*It works similar to a bath bomb
The user dips the cone to create a soap film on the wide end and speaks normally into the opposite end. A bubble is formed at the end of the cone, enveloping the spoken words. The trapped message floats on, and is symbolically “heard” when the bubble bursts.
Linea (Line in Latin) keeps the line of communication alive. The logo is inspired by a speech bubble, as Linea fundamentally does just that.
A 'proof of concept' for Linea. Here I am speaking through a cone that has been dipped in an ordinary soap solution.
