A PARK NEAR BUS TERMINAL

Designated area has a rugged relief with elevations and is cut by heat pipelines. There are active foot-walks across the site.
The aim of this project was to restore and reconstruct the abandoned site, namely:
- to develop an area around the memorial sign with recreation space for the passengers of bus terminal;

- to create footpaths and recreation space for residents of the nearby houses;
- to arrange an approach to the water, which is to develop a quay of the river Bolshaya Alexandrovka;

Park “UNDER the BRIDGE” is separated from the road by wooden wall protecting from dust and noise. The entrance to the park is located from the side of the sports stadium, whereas the configuration of entrance allows for construction of public toilet.
An outdoor bouldering area is settled between two bridge pillars. The bouldering area will become a natural continuation of a sports stadium located in 100 meters from the bridge. The bouldering area is separated from the central alley of the park by the wall. Seats, mounted on the wall, provide a possibility to take a break and enjoy a view to a park alongside the floodway of the River Kotorosl’.
A stair leads to a dam topped by an arch which promises something special to a passerby. Indeed, as one gets to the dam, there is an amazing view to the river. One can walk down the dam, rest in deck-chairs or go through an arch and come down the steps of amphitheater to its stage.
Amphitheater is of a complex shape with steps seats of the same height. Form of steps is configured to provide the maximum comfort for a viewer. Due to different rake angles, runs of steps make backs for viewers. Thus, one can either watch the action on the stage, or just relax in either sitting or reclining or lying posture.
Multifunctional transformer stage consists of a wood covering – stage floor — and wheeled mobile vertical constructions that can move by rails. Such constructions may serve as scenery flats in stage performances as well as stands for outdoor exhibitions.
There is a screen mounted on the bridge pillars behind the stage. Thus it is possible to organize film screenings in the evenings or presentations of the projects or master classes. The projector can be mounted on the arch on the dam, easy to access for technical stuff.
