The hospital „Vinzenzkrankenhaus“ in Hannover asked the interior design students to create a concept for a room where bereaved family members have space to grieve.

 

Mirrorshards represent the sorrow and the loss of a beloved person and the fragility of the family members.
Rays of light are reflected from mirrorshards and get through the room, giving tiny bright spots and hope.
Alcoves where people can sit in convey a feeling of protection and retreat.
