ZERO was developed in order to decrease the large amount of waste that is produced by people every day. Using photo-recognition software, ZERO scans objects that the user wants to throw away and the user is prompted with the options to reduce, reuse or recycle. From there, they are provided with tips and connections with people near them who are also using the app. In addition, the user can search the object by typing in the name, browse tips and find articles and tutorials. Users also have a section where they are able to connect to people close in proximity to them and start forums.
