This was a project I created in my first year of University, and my brief was to create a logo for a festival called Hard Rain. 

 

After finishing my research I came out with the idea of a sun setting over mountains, giving the over all feel to my logo a very peaceful oasis. I looked into the artists Wes Wilson and Alton Kelley, who are great psychedelic artists. This made me create the repeat pattern I used for the sun rays, and I love the contrast of colours. 

Although I feel like my text could of been incorporated into the logo better, I am pleased with the outcome.
