This is my final project for a handlettering class that I took this semester. We were asked to choose a project or work we had done during the semester and build on it to create a book of work. My favorite project from the semester was badges and lettering over photographs. When I originally did the project I chose to make badges and photos of the small town I grew up in and the two other small towns that were near by, Overbrook, Carbondale and Scranton, all towns in northeast Kansas. 

 

For this project I kept Overbrook and added Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan and Kansas City. In the future I hope to build on these and perfect them. I also plan to add more towns and maybe make a book for other places, maybe it's even places that I have traveled to. I would also like to add postcards to this project. I think it would fit well with the town theme.
