What I love about Arkamaya is that the brand is consistent of creating the edgy, dynamic, and playful collections by using beautiful Indonesian ethnic fabrics. Here are some of the outfits from the latest S/S 2016 collection "ammettle".
I love the idea of combining illustration of a girl into fabric. Usually I'm hired to make print pattern for fabric, but this time I am so happy to be able to create four images of a girl, inspired by the art of Amy Sol and journey of a girl from sadness to happiness.
Final illustration of Sadness.
This is the transition moment, from sadness to happiness. This is the moment when a girl finally awake and stand for her own fate. Arising from sadness, she becomes a strong woman with courage!
This is the illustration of a happy girl. A girl who learned her lesson, finally able to walk with her head up and face the world with kindness.
This is the illustration of a happy girl. A girl who is surrounded with all things bright and wonderful. The universe is not always on her side, but she knows how to always look for something positive in each thing. She is mature, calm, and peaceful.
