This is a book made out of books which only exist within other books. Each piece was chosen for the way it questioned the role of books in society — as the object of knowledge, the object of dreams, the ordinary ubiquitous everyday object, to the act of reading and writing.
Each book is portrayed according to how it appears in the original story, taking to account not only the physical descriptions but also the way the characters deal with it. To materialize something that only exists within a finite and closed narrative creates the need to complete what is not described, more than a transcription, The Book is an interpretation, a research, an experiment.
The books portrayed are:
"The wonderful adventure of metal" in Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, “The Theory and Practice of Oligarchic Collectivism” in 1984 by George Orwell , “The book of Sand” in The book of Sand by Jorge luis Borges and “If on a winter night a traveler" in If on a winter night a traveler by Italo Calvino
