Hard Rain is a concept by an environmental group who plan to use music as a vehicle to promote a better understanding of key issues facing the planet. 

 

Insight 

After brainstorming I researched a range of different elements that were interesting and that seemed relevent to the brief. I looked into the word "Hardness" and came upon hard objects that aren't so obviuous and also hard rock / metal being the main music genre for the festival. 

 

After experimenting with certain shapes such as spear heads / snow flakes, I came up with this unique looking logo design that represents the obvious and techinical term of the festival name. The typography also reflects the hardness term with the sharp points emerging out.
