The task was to design a Wayfinding System for people in a care home with dementia. The idea was to ease navigation as well as encourage independence. The outcome I arrived at was a door handle on the rooms of each patient. These rooms would only open if the patient with the correct fingerprints corresponded to the room. If there were any issue nurses in the care home would be alerted on the app and therfore could help them to thier desired room.
