Nakheel Alya is a gourmet date fruit company based in Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia. I have worked with them closely over the years to design their corporate identity, print collateral, packaging design, exhibition design graphics, advertising and web design materials.
The word Arabic word 'Nakheel' translates to date palm, while 'Al Alya' refers to a district in southern Madinah known for its date plantations – especially dates from the Ajwa variety. Inspired by intricate patterns and shapes found in Madinah's famous Masjid An-Nabawi, I developed a minimal and abstract system across all touchpoints. The design was strategically crafted to offer a refreshing and modern look into the world of Arabian luxury, allowing the Nakheel Alya brand to be distinctive yet welcoming in an otherwise saturated market.
