The POMPEII poster was my first assignment since starting my Art and Design program. The project was given in my Art Culture course.
In this project, students were required to presented a poster in order to promote the exhibition at ROM(Royal Ontario Museum) and our teacher will show us techniques on how to draw the selected artifacts, but for our final poster everything must be rendered by hand in pencil. we were allowed to bring our own camera to the ROM. More over,The Art Director (our professor)
has made a special point that only objects on display at the ROM can be used for the poster
I drew a volcano because when I researched POMPEII I discovered that the entire town was buried under a flow of lava. When I visited ROM for my research,I took a photo of a video display of an exploding vocano for reference.
