Gamified Passwords:

About the Concept:
Playing games has always been a “fun activity”,more so if the game is entertaining and simple enough. The innovation through gamification is not new and has been explored in multiple genres however Gamified passwords becomes important in the current world when there are multiple passwords to remember. Exploring Play as remedy to create better passwords is thus the challenge that has been tried to address while designing Hopscotch.

The concept derives its inspiration from the game of HOPSCOTCH which is also called Kith-Kith or Stapu, in India. The French variant of hopscotch is known as Escargot (snail) or Marelle ronde (round hopscotch). It is played on a spiral course. Players must hop on one foot to the center of the spiral and then reverse their path to back out again.

Hopscotch is thus played with varying shapes across the world with a general thumb rule of play being-
“Sequential Jumping over different parts of a defined shape and within its premise."

The concept is motivated to take the user back to his childhood to enjoy the otherwise mundane activity of entering a password.  The user is not stressed to recall the password but plays a simple game while he enters the password.
