Eos Estate Winery
The name “Eos” comes from the mythological Greek goddess of the dawn. With rosy fingers, Eos is said to have been the one to open the gates of heaven. She is considered the mother, or ancestor of all stars, and her tears are considered to have created the morning dew. Eos is the daughter of Hyperion, the bringer of light, and is the daughter of Theia. She is the sister of Helios, the sun god, and Selene, the moon. Eos has two sons, Memnon, who was slain in the Trojan War, and Emathion.

The names of the wine are from the process of this reaserch on the goddess. The names Diloculo and Drosera are latin for “Rising sun” and “The Morning Dew” respectivly. Using these names, I created these typographic labels for my winery, trying in both the greek roots of the winery with a modern graphical style targeted for young audiences of 21-30, a fast growing market in the wine industry.
