Milan is the city of contrasts, a city that looks to the future, to the industrialization, to the growth and the modernization of the landscape, but also a city that keeps its history encompassing, among its modern skyscrapers, buildings and structures of the past. For the realization of this project, I have chosen to focus on architecture and urban design making a series of diptychs that compare this coexistence of old and new, and places where ancient and modern buildings coexist together on the same territory. The work is intended as a comparison of how the city has changed over the years, where the presence of ancient remains in modernity.
