Student Life Office Event in Green River College

 

This is a sidewalk sign created for the "Giving From the Heart" event. This event pairs up participants with low income families. The participants then buy presents for the children in these families. The office receives the presents from the participants and deliver the presents to the families before Christmas.

 

This event sounded really complicated when I first heard about it, so I thought of a way to simplify it, which is "by giving presents, one brings happiness and love to each other", and that is how I came up with the icons of a present, a smile and a heart.The drawing are meant to look imperfect to indicate children, and the font choice it to show that it is a small thing, but brings warmth to another family.
