Kolleru lake, The Freshwater Lake which especially have significant importance from socio-economic point of view and sustenance,bio-diversity need to be protected from various manmade degradations. To bring in to focus the importance of organised restoration of degraded freshwater Lake an effort is made through this graphic book to expose various faces of the problems encountered in Kolleru Lake by synthesising available information.

Water has historically been a source of tension and a factor in conflicts between countries, states, or groups. Water Conflict Chronology, developed by Pacific Institute lists violence’s that date back to over nearly 5000 years. Active water cooperation is needed to end these conflicts, which is not a one-time solution; it is an ongoing responsibility to be taken up by individuals, states, countries and international governing bodies. Today’s youth are the prime targets for the awareness of water cooperation. The project attempts to visually portray the stories of conflicts and the science behind the conflicts, thus urges the need for protection and sustenance of natural resources. A graphic novel, generally fast paced, reinforces the language of high quality and opens up for multiple interpretations, will be the right tool for this awareness program. A graphic novel, based on the subject Hydrology for the civil engineering student in IITH to sensitize more toward social water issues and and science behind it.
