In these first two photo pairs, I inserted images of planters into stock photos. I photographed the planters in lighting similar to the lighting in the stock photos so that they would look natural in those environments.
In the image of the balcony below, I warped the two planters in the foreground to match the warping caused by the wide angle lens in the stock photo.
For these next three image pairs, I took photographs of motion sensing lights turned on in the dark. I then inserted them into stock photos, which I adjusted to appear to be dark scenes lit by the lights. 
 
In the first of this series, I added a wooden bedrail for the light to mount to.
In this image of the brick stairway, I also deleted debris that the lights would otherwise spotlight.
In the next image pair, I inserted an image of a tablet mount, including the reflection of the product in the glass stovetop.
In the final two image pairs, I've eliminated elements from the photos, rebuilding the background.
 
These were independent rather than commercial projects. In the photo of the cookie case, I left the reflection of the cookies in the back glass to add a subtly surreal quality to the image.
