A trilingual storybook
When creating this project, I was studying abroad in Italy. I was inspired by the numerous languages I heard during my time in Europe and thought it would be an interesting challenge to deal with German, Italian, and English all at once. I also wanted my storybook to be appealing to both children and adults. Although this is book, I wanted the user to enjoy the interactions of my piece. The cover is made of leather which I bought in Florence to add a tangible element. Some of the pages have cut outs to surprise and interest the viewer. To correspond to the trilingual quality, there are extra words featured in all three languages to enhance the story.
