Brief

My non profit organisation is Canterbury Youth Workers Collective(C.Y.W.C). They exist to support Youth Workers by providing professional development, networking opportunities and accountability, information and resource sharing. Their goals are connecting the youth sector, raising the standards of youth work practice, championing youth development. They are funded by the Christchurch City Council, the Canterbury Community Trust and the Department of Internal Affairs, Vodafone Foundation, Tindall Foundation, Wayne Francis Charitable Trust.

Who are we?

The Canterbury Youth Workers Collective is an umbrella organisation for youth workers and youth services.  As part of our role within the Youth Sector, we are the backbone organisation in a collaboration called the Strengthening the Youth Sector project.  This collaboration includes a number of organisations from the youth sector and local and central government who are working together for the betterment of young people and youth work in Greater Christchurch.
