Every year, our University holds a fashion show. The concept this year (2012) is 'show personalities'. For each personality chosen, we had to create teaser posters, to entice people, but without giving "too much away". The 'personality' I am portraying this year ( developed with a colleague), is Madonna. For this poster I wanted to portray her personality, femininity and strength. The main text in pink says "Mulheres Bem Comportadas Raramente Fazem História" - "Well behaved women rarely make history "- a Marilyn Monroe quote.
I feel this suits Madonna, as Marilyn has always been one of her idols, she is famous for pushing boundaries,and as the saying does say "well behaved women do not make history" begs the question if Madonna had been well behaved would she have been world recognised?
