Project “Buka Pintu” (Open Doors) is a design project which invites people to peek behind the patterns of Sentul, a forgotten railway town. Encouraging them to look past its timeworn exterior and discover its rich history. The idea was inspired by the traditional designs and architectures of the historic neighbourhoods. The patterns of old gates and windows in Sentul were captured and recreated to become vibrant designs, illustrations and typography, breathing new life to the old.
This project was awarded in the design category 2015/16: Adfest (Bronze), Spikes Asia (Bronze), Kancil Awards Malaysia (Silver/Bronze/Merit).
