Handwoven Hues: Dupattas

This was part of my Graduation project done at Bandhej.  Bandhej believes in reinventing age-old traditional crafts and breathing new life into them. The aim of this was to highlight and showcase the material Tussar  which is an indigenous wild silk. This part of the collection looks at dupattas. Dupattas are usually worn by women in combination with other attires, hence the layouts were more conventional and set tight boundaries for design. The challenge was to create fresh, bold and vibrant yet neutral and versatile patterns to fit the need of the customer.
