Selecting an Item
Current Interaction
While selecting an item in the Xbox 360 with kinect currently, you will need to hover your hand over an item and hold still till the ring formation is complete around the hand icon.
 
 
Issues Faced :
 
1. Selecting and item takes a while as one must wait for the ring formation to complete.
2. The hand must be held still till a selection is made which causes discomfort.

Return to Previous
 
Current Interaction
To return to the previous screen one must hover to the top left corner of the screen, over the return icon.
 
 
Issues Faced :

1. There is no gesture available to return to the previous screen.
2. One must hover to the top left corner over the return icon and stay still till the ring formation around this icon is complete.

Pausing a Game
Current Interaction
To pause a game one must hold their hand to the side about 45 degrees and the right hand must be kept down at ones side. A guide icon appears. Hold still till the ring formation is complete around the guide icon
 
 
Issues Faced :
 
1. Pausing a game takes a while as one must wait for the ring formation around the guide icon to complete.
2. Game continues till the pause gesture is detected and ring formation is complete.

Zoom In & Zoom Out in Photo Viewer
Current Interaction
The photo viewer on the Xbox does not use gestures and a controller (joystick) must be used to navigate through media
 
 
Issues Faced :
 
1. A controller is required to view media.
2. Zooming into and out of media is tedious and unnatural using a controller.
