a walk down the memory lane

During the 3rd day of Chinese New Year 2010, I was dropping by to take some photos of mum's ancestral home in Kg. Rajah, Rawang (四會街, 萬撓). It was the biggest bulding in the village that housed my grandparents and their 11 offsprings. The visit certainly brought back some unforgettable memories of mine.
The exterior and the car porch
Datsun 120Y, once a very hip car during the 80's.
Through many miles
Worn-out body paint
The authentic grilled window
The tools for some delicious cooking
My uncle was preparing his meal
The kitchen was connecting to the backyard which used to have a water well that provides the drinking water. When I was there during the visit, the well was no longer in function.
A portrait of the man, my eldest uncle
Simplified version of the chinese Earth Deity 地主公
My aunt, wife of my 2nd eldest uncle
This is the unique mahjong table for 4 players.  During my childhood as I recalled now, the game usually started after lunch participated by my mom, aunties or uncles
An oval shaped mirror was a gift from my granddad's nephew for the occasion of moving in the new house
Mom's ancestors
My maternal grandparents
An altar cabinet of different chinese deities
