Collier Memorial

___

On April 18th, 2013, 3 days after the Boston Marathon bombing, MIT police officer Sean Collier was shot and killed on MIT's campus by the Tsarnaev brothers. He was 26 years old.

Sean was the outgoing type. The kind that "never met a stranger" according to his friends on the force. It was impressive to those who knew him how quickly he was able to build relationships in the community he served. He was a regular at the campus pubs, participated in dance classes at MIT, and joined the institute's Outing Club.

On April 29th, 2015 the dedication of a memorial at the site of the shooting brought the community together to commemorate his sacrifice.
