This project was based on model making. Using various machines and casting techniques to produce a final appearance model and a working model. This model is made from cibatool and cast resin, then painted to resemble the brass and teak used in my design.

With a rope hand grip and a polished teak finish the grinder is comfortable to hold and use. The weight of the brass end gives it a solid feel in the hand and provides stability when used on a boat. Influenced by marine and nautical design and would be perfect for yacht galleys or beach houses.

The use of teak, brass and rope allows it to blend seamlessly into a marine environment. The looped rope enables it to be hung in a kitchen or galley for easy storage, or can be stood on the brass base as a centre piece on any table.
