A Recipe For: Preparing For A Job Interview

The idea for this brief was to produce a set of pictograms and icons to allow a user to fully follow and understand a set of instructions without the use of type, except for the key, in this case; Preparing for an interview. This series of instructions found on a website would allow a male individual to understand how to 'physically' prepare for an interview, with instructions on, Ironing, Shaving, Showering, Getting Dressed and finally the interview itself.

The concept was chosen to be computer based to allow the user to see the instructions from a distance if they chose to put the screen onto full screen mode. This would also mean that the computer wouldn't go into standby mode allowing the user to take their time following the instructions whilst doing their chosen activity. Another reason for the project to be web based was that it meant that user didn't have to worry about losing where they were in the instructions or losing the page they were on, a website was deemed to be more user friendly and ergonomic
